In May 2022, we hosted an amazing Ukrainian refugee family in our home for 3 weeks. They stayed with us while they organized their immigration paperwork, applied for jobs, looked at schools for their 4 year old boy, and searched for an apartment to live. But in the end, we did not remain as hosts+guests, we formed an incredible friendship. One that I hope lasts a lifetime. This painting celebrates the friendship between Ukraine and Canada. All proceeds from this painting will be given to our Ukrainian family to support their fresh start in Canada.
