The Inspiration Behind the Painting.
A late afternoon arrival to hike Pocaterra Ridge, Kananaskis, Alberta, during Larch Season resulted in a near empty trail on a usually very busy hike. We were lucky to enjoy the beautiful setting sun over the larches, which sparked a thought of envisioning this scene basking in moonlight.
